Francis Produce Company (FPC) is a 3rd generation family owned and operated produce and trucking company. Our heritage dates back to 1926 when Grandpa Francis would drive to Florida to buy the freshest fruits and vegetables for his customers in the Upstate of South Carolina. Steve Francis and first cousin Tim (Francis) Pitts run the company now, after learning from their elders – Joe, Tony, Boo, Bill, and even Aunt Kitty. Steve and Tim are proud of their heritage, but bring their own special talents to the business of today.
FPC enjoys the tenure of employees that feel like family. Jennifer Lee just celebrated her 15 year anniversary with us. To give her a title would be underestimating her abilities. So lets just say that she does overall office management, produce marketing and support, payroll, invoicing, and a little bit of everything else.
Juli Francis Hunt, Steve’s sister, works in Food Service Support, and as the unofficial greeting committee, along with her son, Will Hunt. Will is a Food Service driver during breaks from school.
Another family is represented at FPC. Cedric Gibson has been driving for the Food Service Division for 4 years, and loved it so much that he brought his brother, Jamar into the FPC family. Both are loved by their customers.
Rachel Spearman and Eric Meekins manage the Food Service Division and enjoy a great partnership. Rachel talks and Eric listens (or just smiles). It works for them and for our customers. Ask Rachel about the beach and about how many miles she ran this morning. Ask Eric about Clemson. It’s a better conversation when they win!
Donald Lee Searles, Warehouse Supervisor, is Steve's right hand man. He checks deliveries, ensures product quality, and coordinates outgoing loads. Donald Lee practically grew up at FPC, having worked with us for 40 years. His steady leadership and willingness to work are great assets in the warehouse.
